The January Coastal Commission hearing was held in the City of San Diego with two items of particular concern proposed for nearby areas: 1.) Applicants sought to fill in sea caves with 75 feet of “erodible” concrete in front of the Solana Beach Tennis Club; and, 2.) The City of Oceanside wanted to engage in a beach “nourishment” program, which was moved to consent as it was a program shaped through significant community involvement.
